Is it worth getting fog lights for the VW golf 2010?

Hi all,

I need some advice. I am planning on purchasing a VW golf 2010 in SE/match spec but this spec does not come with fog lights.

On my previous car we had fog lights but I dont think we ever used them.. Could I please have your advice and opinions on whether they are worth paying 拢225 for?Is it worth getting fog lights for the VW golf 2010?I've got a 2010 Golf TDI which, here in the states, came with fog lights as standard equipment. I haven't used them much and probably won't use them much but... for that kind of money (what, 225p is what, $350 now?) I'd get them just for the looks. A couple of lights down low look a heck of a lot better than just big chunks of black plastic. And, as the other answer mentioned, they do make quite a bit of difference, especially at low speeds. They're great for dark bark roads, trying to dodge holes in the road and such...Is it worth getting fog lights for the VW golf 2010?If you did not use the other car's fog lights, then you obviously did not need them. I would think that you probably would not need or use them on the VW either.

My '06 VW came standard with fogs; the weather here in North Carolina can have fog in the spring.

When this occurs, I always turn the fogs on. I can definitely tell a vast difference.( Most people do not use their fogs correctly. For the lights to be truly effective, you must slow down. This is because the fog lights beams are designed for wide array dispersion , the distance that the beam projects forward is negligable.)

If you have periods of fog, then you might consider purchasing them. In my experience I may use them just 20 times a year. But those times are truly helpful. So its worth the extra price for me.
