How much does VW Charge to Inspect your car?

Does anyone know how much VW charge to inspect your car and tell you whats wrong with the car. I heard they charge by the hour and not by the job. Is that true?

Our dealership in cornwall is 拢65 per hour plus vat, but once diagnosed, if you authorise the repairs we work the diagnostic fee into the final bill so it will work out cheaper.

As for london, i hear it is over 拢100 per hour, but never been to london dealers so can not confirm that, just what i heard.
