How to replace the brake switch of a VW 1969 Beetle which is on the master cylinder ?How to replace VW Beetle 1969 Brake switch?Obtain replacement switch before removing the faulty switch. To do the job, remove the two electrical connectors (do not worry about which one went to what terminal - they are interchangeable). Unscrew the old switch, then screw in the new switch.



You probably will not have to bleed the brakes unless you have dawdled and let brake fluid run out. If after the job, the Brake pedal is soft or spongy, bleed brakes in normal manner.
