I need to do some paint work on my VW Polo, does anyone know whats the proper name for the MK4 Purple colour?

Its a 1995 VW Polo, and its that dark purple type colour. I've tried looking in halfords but they only seem to have blue, and its not a rare colour because you can see it everywhere.I need to do some paint work on my VW Polo, does anyone know whats the proper name for the MK4 Purple colour?genesis purple.

I need to do some paint work on my VW Polo, does anyone know whats the proper name for the MK4 Purple colour? If you look at your owners manual it will tell you where to find the paint code on your car, this is usually a small metal plate hidden somewhere, either inside the engine bay or with my micra it is inside the drivers door ledge, below the locking mechanism.I need to do some paint work on my VW Polo, does anyone know whats the proper name for the MK4 Purple colour?

It should say paint code and have some #'s after it. You can take those #'s to a auto paint supply house and they can set you up. If all else fails call a VW dealership and ask them if and where the paint code is located. Hope this helps.I need to do some paint work on my VW Polo, does anyone know whats the proper name for the MK4 Purple colour?
Not sure exactly but this site should help you determine it fairly easily:

http://www2.carpaint.co.uk/automotive_pa鈥?/a>

check out the instruction guide on where the code is printed on your car here: http://www2.carpaint.co.uk/colour_code.h鈥?/a>

Here's another site with a slightly simpler explanation of how to find the code: http://www.1stautotouchuppaints.com/euro鈥?/a>

Good luck :)
