How does the 2009 VW Jetta handle the snow? They build these cars in Germany which is more northern than where you are. So snow is something they encounter like a lot.It is a front wheel drive car.
Basically no fun in the snow...no spin-outs, no donuts, nothing fun that rear wheel drive cars would give you. Basically boring. But if you are expecting to drive the winter with summer tires, not gonna happen.
So unless you are planning to trade it in for a snowmobile...it is a good handler in the snow.(provided you have good snow tires on it on all 4 wheels.
Definitely not the same traction as summer time. With nose dive stops....(but you can't do that in your shoes either in the winter.) So you drive accordingly. A little slower and maybe double the car spacing that you are use to driving in the "unwinter months".
Maybe you are some of the folks that should not be driving in the winter - period....but then the tow truck drivers have families to feed too.How does the 2009 VW Jetta handle the snow?
Unless you live in the North West territories you'll be fine. Depending on where you live I would consider getting a set of good winter tires (if you get more than 2 feet of snow in the winter then winter tires are a must) but trust me when I say that you will be fine. Obviously we all have to adjust our driving habits in the winter but there is no need to sell the vehicle just because of a little bit of snow - it's front wheel drive so traction will not be an issue just get some winters and you'll be fine! How does the 2009 VW Jetta handle the snow? How does the 2009 VW Jetta handle the snow?
In actuality, they don't... The shiver and shudder and dream of warmer climates just like the rest of the snow folk do. :)
But they do tend to drive in it extremely well.
