How to repair a clutch on a 1999 vw beetle?

I am going nuts!! I have looked online and have had no luck. I have a 1999 VW Beetle Bug and the clutck went out. I bought a kit with the flywheel included because the auto parts store said it is better to replace all of it. I cannot find online instructions on how to replace all of this. What should the mechanic be charging to fix this problem? How to repair a clutch on a 1999 vw beetle? You need to disconnect the axles from the transmission. Disconnect the drivers side lower ball joint to move the suspension out of the way, remove the starter, all the bolts holding the transmission in the car and remove the transmission. Putting it back in is no fun and almost impossible if you don't have help or the right equipment. Not a typical job for someone to attempt if they don't know what they are doing. How to repair a clutch on a 1999 vw beetle?mechanic will charge from $800 to $1000
