Anyone have any feedback for me on Honda Accords?

Especially older models. I'm looking at a 1992 Honda Accord for my daughter's first car. It has 170,000 miles on it but I've heard that Hondas are a good running car.Anyone have any feedback for me on Honda Accords?All i've ever owned were Accords. My first was a 1991 Ex model. I loved it. I never had any problems with it. The only things that were "issues" were there because the previous owner did not keep up with the maintenance like they should've. That was well over 100,000 miles.



My second Accord was a 2000 Accord EX with leather. That was also a great car, never had any problems...just changed the oil, rotated tires, regular maintenance.



Now I have a 2006 Accord EX with leather (coupe) and same thing, just regular maintenance...thank God, I've never had any problems.



Basically you just need to know how the previous owner cared for the car. There might be issues that you're not aware of that will pop up unexpectedly and can be costly.

One commont problem on that car is the blower motor. I have a 1993 Honda Accord wagon, and it runs great. Mine is at 150,000 miles, and it's still got a long way to go. The only problems that have occured within the last year or so is that the engine light goes on and the car decelerates on its own. So it is very dangerous on the freeway, especially on the fast lane. You will have no control of the vehicle. If this occurs, it is likely that the ignition needs to be replaced. If you turn on the air conditioning, the car shakes and trembles when you stop your car. Otherwise, this car is extremely reliable, and is fun to drive.
