One is around the window; in your case that could be the hatch window or the side windows. Is the quantity of water the same on left and right? If so, the hatch window is suspect. Is the window the original, or is it a replacement? A leak in the original rubber seal is very unusual because factories rarely make a mistake in fitting a window. A window replacement person could have made a mistake in fitting a replacement seal. Unusual heat could also cause shrinkage or shredding of the rubber seal.
The second possibility is a leak in the seal that is supposed to fill the space on the top edge of the hatch, next to the roof.
This could be because of improper installation of a replacement seal, like the glue coming loose, or maybe something hard once got stuck between the hatch and the roof, putting a hole or serious crimp in the rubber.
Either way, it should be easy to identify which is the problem.
One person gets in the car, watching the areas where the leak might be. A second person runs water from a garden hose at large volume all over the top and back of the hatch. The person inside marks where the water is coming in, maybe with a crayon, and then, after shutting off the water, that area is carefully examined for the hole or seal problem.
Seals that are simply detached should be easy to reattach with glue. Make sure surfaces are dry before gluing. A gap in the seal around the hatch door might be fixable with soft rubber made for that purpose. A break or gap or hole in the window seal should be fixed by a car window installer or a body shop. Why are the rear seatbelts in my honda civic hatch wet?
It could be the rear window. Why are the rear seatbelts in my honda civic hatch wet?probably leaking around the window or the rubber around the trunk. Check around the lower part and see if it's separated. Is so silicone will repair it. Do not get the silicone on your hands, hard to get off. Check the hatch and see if the rubber is broken or missing, if so replace. Why are the rear seatbelts in my honda civic hatch wet?
probably it near the back windows...Why are the rear seatbelts in my honda civic hatch wet?Hatch is leaking -- you need to replace hatch gasket. Or rear roof area is rusted and water coming in through there. Have you been in an accident (getting hit in the rear)? If so, then you will probably need to straighten the hatch out too to cut/eliminate the gap that lets water in.
