Whats the best timing setting for a honda del sol SOHC vtec motor with an aftermarket adjustable cam gear?

I bought an aftermarket cam gear for my 1996 Honda Del Sol Vtec. I want more bottom end and wanted to know what the best timing setting would be. Any help would be great. Thanks.Whats the best timing setting for a honda del sol SOHC vtec motor with an aftermarket adjustable cam gear?if all you bought and installed was a adjustable cam gear?? leave it within the original factory settings.

unless you have changed the compression ratio by aftermarket pistons or have had the vtec head re-done or have the aftermarket camshaft to go with that cam gear. because the honda factory vtec settings are timed to the best outputs within the motors handling clearances in relevance to efficiency, power output, longevity of the motor in reliable. the timing of the valves in duration is very close tolerances. if you time it wrong it may result in engine failure due to detonation and/or valves smacking the piston tops.
