I have a 2001 Honda accord lx (4cylinder). I was looking at getting a cold air intake system for it. But I've heard that it won't help the car at all. But I've also heard that it can increase horsepower and gas milelage. Would a cold air intake system increase the performance of my 2001 Honda accord lx?Would a cold air intake system benefit my 2001 Honda accord lx?you will never recover the cost of the cold air intake system in gas and performance, your just as far ahead to install a K%26amp;N air filter in the stock air box and save yourself over $100.Would a cold air intake system benefit my 2001 Honda accord lx?Imagine your engine cannot possibly see the introduction of air from a cold air intake system, great name, as opposed to natural induction. Please ask the guy that sold this product how the intake air becomes cold. Otherwise realize you are fixing to devalue your car. luv serWould a cold air intake system benefit my 2001 Honda accord lx?By itself? Not at all, just makes it sound sportier. You're going to have to do more than that but it's a start. I did the whole cold air intake, 4-2-1 headers, catback exhaust. All that helped but the biggest improvement came from lightened pulley set (crank shaft, power steering, alternator). It was a '99 Accord coupe (4 cylinder 5 speed); same engine (unless yours is a ULEV).
My dad has an '01 Accord (4 cylinder 5 speed) and use when I visit. Coming back home to my car was night and day, faster, and more responsive. It was a fun car to drive, surprisingly fast for an older 4 cylinder with those mods.Would a cold air intake system benefit my 2001 Honda accord lx?
Yes it will. it let more air threw threw so your engine will run better. then if you want to top it off you could get an aftermarket exhaust. That will let more air flow threw the whole exhaust system. And they do add more hp to your engine.
