I normally cook pasta, that's about it. I really want to do more, cook a really nice, special meal for everyone. Obviously an ideal meal that doesn't take longer than 10 hours. I don't want to base turkeys the night before, and cook a ham for 2 hours.
Links, recipes, descriptions and even names of the recipe would be helpful :)What is yummy meal I can cook for dinner for 5-8 people?
I have made some of these recipes and all has turned out well. I have made all of the Italian recipes, some of the chili, meatloaf and casserole recipes. My family loves ground meat and it is really cheap too.

Baked pasta is an excellent option. Get a big aluminum tray from the grocery store. Half way boil the pasta shape of your choice, I like penne or rigatone (2 lbs should do it). Then put it in the pan with sauce and mix with a good amount of sauce. Top the pan with lots of mozzerella and romano (or parmigian) and chopped parsley. Cover the pan with aluminum and bake at 450 (Pre-heat Oven) at about 30 - 35 minutes. Good Luck.
Also make a nice caprese salad (fresh Mozzerella, basil, tomato, olive oil and sea salt) as an appetiser. http://wondertime.go.com/resources/image鈥?/a>
You should also get some nice crusty bread. Good Luck. What is yummy meal I can cook for dinner for 5-8 people?

Roasted chicken because roasted chickens are big and people can eat the. Example: legs most off all.
Hi,
Take a look at www.cookingandcooking.com , I'have tried some of them and I like them.
you should make some steak with mashed potatos and corn and rolls....... yum
Get beef, cut in to the shape of steak. Boil it with ginger, garlic, small number of peppers and salt. Cooking time depend on how tender the meat is. Take out the pieces one by one from water. Keep the water. Shallow fry beef and sprinkle little bit of black pepper powder.
Take the water that is left after cooking beef. Boil it again, Add some more water to it. When it comes to boil beat two eggs and to the boiling water and stir fast and immediately for two minutes. Add sweet corn to it. Taste and see and add a little more salt.
Bake potatoes or boil and deep fry sprinkle little salt on potatoes.
Get ice cream from a shop.
You have steak, potatoes, soup and ice cream
You could make butternut squash gnocchi with a nutmeg sage parmesan cream sauce. I've done this before, and it's delicious.
Here's a link for the gnocchi:

When I made them, I used all white flour, because I didn't have any whole wheat flour.
For the cream sauce, melt 3 tbsp butter in a pot over medium heat, then add 3 tbsp flour, about 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg and 1 tsp dried sage. Stir this together until combined, then cook for a minute more. Stir in 4 cups milk or cream. Cook and stir until it gets thick; do not boil. Once it has thickened, stir in ~1 cup of parmesan cheese, and keep stirring until the cheese is melted in.
Now, just cover the gnocchi with the sauce, and serve. You can garnish it with fresh sage, if you want it to look fancy.
