Mediterranean Style Hamburger?

My mother's side of the family is Lebanese and they're all coming over for dinner tonight to see my new apartment. I really want to impress them and let them see how independent i've become by cooking them a delicious homemade dinner.

i've come up with this recipe, what do you think?

1 lb Ground Beef

1/2 Cup of Chopped Mint

1/4 Cup of Chopped Dill

1 Clove of chopped garlic

1 Onion (Shredded)

1 Tablespoon of Ground Kabob Seasoning: Granulate Onions / Salt / Garlic / Tumeric

I would mix the beef, mint, dill, garlic, onion and spices together and then form them into patties. I鈥檇 let them sit on the counter for 20 minutes so that they can get to room temperature. While there sitting i鈥檇 create a cucumber sauce.

1 English Cucmber (Peeled, Shredded %26amp; Drained)

1 Garlic clove (Shredded)

1/4 Cup of Dill 鈥?/4 Cup Of mint

2 Cups of Greek Yogurt.

I would combine the yogurt with drained cucumber, garlic, dill, and mint and let that sit at room temperature while i cook the hamburgers.

Once the hamburgers are done, i鈥檇 take some olive oil and grill slices of ciabatta bread then i would take the cucumber sauce and spread it on both sides, add a thin slice of tomato %26amp; onion, some romaine lettuce, and then the hamburger.

So what do you guys think? Does it sound good to you? Would you eat it? Any advice for me? Any tips? I appreciate any comments.Mediterranean Style Hamburger?
La la la, I am rather impressed with that, your doing away with the traditional tabouli, which is a good idea.

Give you a tip, make your burgers a little bigger and thicker, when you put them on them on the grill don't press them down, all your doing is squeezing out all those great beef juices.

I make mine a little larger than an egg ring, and a good 3/4" to 1" thick, the thicker the better. I make sure the grill is nice and hot before putting the burgers on, I allow four minutes each side.

The bread, great idea, but when you take them off the grill, rub raw garlic onto the toasted bread before you and the burger.

I think your a genius.Mediterranean Style Hamburger?
