Can i use images from Honda to put on my mechanic site?
I see people do it all the time, and would like to know if it's legal to do so. Honda is not the only one that we do repairs on, and it's weird how press images are free, but yet images on Honda's main site will tell you it can't be used. What are the legalities? Can i use images from Honda to put on my mechanic site?Honda sued my neighbor for using Honda in his business name. He changed. I think you can put in photos of cars in general but you can not use photos that make it look like you are a subsidiary of Honda. Which means that i would not use any photo that included the "H" on the front grill..Can i use images from Honda to put on my mechanic site?In the Thomson Local Directory adverts I do for my Car Servicing customers, I have found that you can put the 'word' Honda, but unless you have express permission from Honda, you cannot use the Honda 'Logo'. If you contact them though, they normally allow 'supporting dealers' or agents to use the logo if you say what you are using it for... It makes sense for them to allow it, as it constitutes FREE ADVERTISING for their Brand and no one who has asked has been refused... yet.Can i use images from Honda to put on my mechanic site?I believe you can, but you have to site the source of the photo.
